• Perform as soloists in concert with an internationally acclaimed Chicago-area orchestra.

Experience with this competition shows that the winners will be those students who have completely memorized their solo by the time of the live audition, rehearsed extensively with their accompanists, and become thoroughly comfortable playing with the accompaniment.

The winner of the 2008 competition will perform with our symphony orchestra in Hinsdale on December 7, 2008. The deadline for submitting applications was September 1.
